Quentin Arnoux is a Ph.D. student in Iranian Studies at the Department of Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations. He completed his education at the University of Geneva and was awarded the Arditi Prize in Art History (2021) for his MA thesis on the production of illustrated manuscripts by the master painter Mu’in Musavvir in late seventeenth-century Iran. He also benefits from academic experiences in France (Université de la Sorbonne) and Iran where he lived for a year (University of Tehran). His research currently explores the idea of kingship and the use of regalian imagery in large-scale artworks during the Safavid and Qajar dynasties.
