Mary Yoshinari graduated with a PhD in History from the University of Toronto in November 2018. Subsequently, she was a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tehran. She has conducted archival research in Iran, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Belarus, and Serbia. To date, she has completed three research articles, which have been featured in Iran Namag, Iranian Studies, and Russians in Iran: Diplomacy and Power in the Qajar Era and Beyond. Most recently, she has co-authored “Governing by Partnership: The Role of Abdolhossein Nikpour and the Chambers of Commerce in Iran’s National Economy” with Professor Ali Asghar Saeidi, which will be published in Middle Eastern Studies.
