You are invited to join the conference on Friday, March 8 (International Women’s Day), which will bring to light the pressing issues women face in Afghanistan and Iran. We will showcase the voices of women leaders, academics, and practitioners dedicated to advocating for women’s rights and gender equality. The conference, a testament to women’s solidarity, will serve as a critical platform for discussing potential domestic policy reforms, fostering regional cooperation, and calling for international support in the fight against gender persecution.
The conference program will take place in the Junior Common Room. Refreshments and lunch will be available in the Upper Library.
The conference Co-Chairs are Massey College Senior Resident Ghizal Haress and Massey College’s Chair in Human Rights Payam Akhavan.
