We offer a series of fellowships to support scholars at various stages of their academic journey.
The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies at the University of Toronto invites applications for the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Dissertation Completion Fellowships for 2024-2025. The EOM Dissertation Fellowships shall be awarded to University of Toronto Ph.D. candidates in Iranian Studies who are in the final stages of writing their Ph.D. dissertations. The selected fellows are expected to reside at the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute at the University of Toronto during the period of their fellowship.
To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and a synopsis of your dissertation and competition timeline of no more than 1000 words. In addition, we require two letters of recommendation written by the members of your dissertation committee.

The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies at the University of Toronto invites applications for the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Postdoctoral Fellowship in Iranian Studies for 2024-2025. The Postdoctoral Fellowship shall be awarded to scholars who have received their Ph.D. and are in the early stages of their scholarly careers. Preference will be given to candidates who are revising and completing their dissertations for publication. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to be in residence at the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute at the University of Toronto during the period of their appointment.
To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and a synopsis of your monograph and research interests of no more than 1000 words. In addition, we require two letters of recommendation written by colleagues familiar with your research.

The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies at the University of Toronto invites applications for the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Scholar Award for 2024-2025. The EOM Scholar Award shall be granted to tenure-track faculty members in Iranian/Persian studies to assist in compiling successful tenure files. Activities covered may include publishing a manuscript, starting a new line of research, and building an inclusive scholarly network.
The selected Faculty Scholars are expected to be in residence at the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute at the University of Toronto for the duration of their appointment.

The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies at the University of Toronto invites applications for the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Graduate Scholarships for 2024-2025. The EOM Graduate Scholarships will be awarded to both MA and Ph.D. graduate students at the University of Toronto to conduct research, participate in conferences and pursue language training abroad.
To apply, please send a cover letter, a description of your project of no more than two pages in length, and a budget including a summary of expenses. In addition, we require a letter of recommendation written by a faculty member who is familiar with your research.
