“My name is Leila Moslemi Mehni, and I am a PhD candidate at the department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilization.

I have been a Program Development Officer for the Iranian Graduate Student Forum since 2022, and assistant to the Tavakoli Archive since 2018 at the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies. In this role, I have been a team lead for the Iranian Graduate Student Forum and team member for archival research.

I am proud to be a part of such an innovative and forward-thinking organization. I am grateful to work with the inaugural director of the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies, and my supervisor Professor Tavakoli-Targhi. The experience of working with him taught me how to push the boundaries, think outside the box, and strive for excellence in everything I do.

As an Archive Researcher, I am immensely grateful for the opportunities that Shabnam Rahimi-Golkhandan, as the manager of Tavakoli Archive, has provided me to learn and thrive. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I have gained under her leadership will continue to serve me well in my future endeavors.

The Institute stands as a thriving and inspiring hub for creating a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture and community building, while promoting excellent open access and forward-thinking scholarship in Iranian and Persianate studies.”
