Mahshid Zandi has her BA and MA in cultural anthropology and is currently a PhD student in the department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. She explores the relationship between memory, space, subjectivity, sacralization, and sovereignty in the Iran-Iraq War landscapes and the emerging “Holy Defense” museums in contemporary Iran.
