Jackman Humanities Institute, Faculty of Music, University of Toronto, and the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University jointly present “Tehrangeles”: Sound, Image and Archives Tuesday, 14 November 2023, 6-8 p.m. William Doo Auditorium (Lower Floor), 45 Wilcocks St, University of TorontoJoin us for a multimedia presentation, panel discussion and double book launch focused on the post-revolutionary Iranian popular culutre in “Tehrangeles” (Tehran + Los Angeles), home to the largest concentration of Iranians outside of Iran. The event features scholars, artists and culture workers who examine Iranian diasporic cultural production in Southern California circa 1980 onwards.
